The quirky show, Blue Man Group, is leaving Orlando after 14 great years.
If you’re not familiar with Blue Man Group. It’s known as comedy, theater, rock concert and dance party all in one show. It’s a great show. I have personally been to one of their show while they were on the tour years ago.
The show has been closed since the start of the pandemic. The parent company Cirque du Soleil laid off employees and filed for bankruptcy protection last year. Last June, 3,500 employees been laid off from Cirque du Soleil while this included the Blue Man Group location at Universal.
Universal’s Blue Man Group show ran continuously for 14 years in the old Nickelodeon Studios building. This will open a new market for other shows to come to Universal since it’s a stage that doesn’t required theme park tickets in a popular destination in the heart of Universal’s Citywalk at Universal Orlando Resort.
Blue Man Group has tweeted that they will continue to perform in Las Vegas, New York, Chicago and Boston.
